Keep your first drive. Or roll the dice.
Like your first tee shot? Play it. A second attempt is always optional.
On a par 4 or par 5, hit a second tee shot and you must use it — better or worse.
On par 3 tee shots, and from every selected position after the initial tee shot on any hole, you may hit two attempts and choose the best. This includes putts. All putts must be holed out.

Read the format, flighting and local rules below. Bring a printed copy for event day.
27 holes: three nine-hole rounds of one-man scramble. Players may hit up to two attempts from a position; a second attempt is always optional.
On par 4 and par 5 tee shots, if you elect to hit a second attempt, you MUST use the second ball, even if the first was better. You cannot return to the first ball if the second is out of bounds.
On par 3 tee shots, you may hit up to two attempts and choose the best. After the initial tee shot on any hole, you may hit up to two attempts from each selected position and choose the best. A second attempt is always optional. All putts must be holed out; no gimmes.
Off the green: place within one club length of the selected ball, no nearer the hole. Rough-to-fairway and fairway-to-rough movement are permitted.
The placement allowance cannot be used to get around a tree or other obstacle and obtain a clear shot. It does not authorize moving an obstacle.
A ball in a bunker or penalty area must remain in that same bunker or penalty area.
On the green: place within one scorecard length of the selected ball, no nearer the hole.
Men under 69: white tees. Men 69-79 and women under 80: red tees. All players 80 and older: black tees. Yellow tees are not used.
Play with your crew all day. Group sizes depend on turnout, likely five or fewer; crew requests will be accommodated where possible.
Players should be comfortable maintaining pace in a 27-hole event. Keep up with the group ahead.
Add two penalty strokes and drop in bounds within two club lengths of where the ball last crossed the OB boundary, no nearer the hole. No return to the previous shot location is required. After an OB tee shot, you are hitting 4 from the drop.
Alternatively, return to the tee under stroke and distance, hitting 3. You may hit up to two attempts and choose either ball: the retee is treated as a subsequent shot, not an initial drive, so the mandatory-second-drive rule does not apply to those retee attempts. Returning to the tee is discouraged for pace of play. You still cannot return to your original first ball after electing a second initial drive.
On hole 2, the right-side out-of-bounds restriction applies only to tee shots.
This is a custom tournament procedure, not the USGA Model Local Rule E-5. Ask the tournament committee for a ruling on a lost ball or any situation not covered here.
After all 27 holes are complete, one of the three nine-hole rounds will be randomly selected for flighting. The full 27-hole total determines prizes.
The number of flights and payout places depend on entries. Use sensible score breaks and keep tied flighting scores together where possible, even if flight sizes are uneven.
Each player contributes $10 to the flight prize pool. Divide that pool equally among the flights. Payout details will be announced by the committee.
First-place ties in each flight: sudden death on holes 1, 8, 9, 9, 9, in that order. The event scramble rules apply.
If still tied, play a 100-yard closest-to-the-pin contest on hole 9. Each player may hit up to two shots; the closest qualifying shot wins.
If any shot finishes on the green, only shots on the green qualify for measurement. If all players miss the green with all attempts, measure all shots. An exact tie is replayed.
Other prize ties: countback on the third round, using the last 9, then last 6, then last 3, then last 1 hole in scorecard order (not shotgun playing order).
Each player contributes $10 to one overall skins pool covering all 27 holes. Each round/hole is a separate scoring hole.
A skin is won only by an outright lowest score on that scoring hole. A tied low score wins no skin. The committee will announce any remaining payout details.
RSVP so we can plan groups and turnout. Enter one player at a time and tell us who you want to play with.
Group sizes depend on entries, likely five or fewer. Please be comfortable keeping pace for 27 holes and stay with the group ahead.
A cart request here is not a reservation. Reserve rental carts directly through Crystal View.
